Emily it looks very pretty, I love the fennel, I have the bronze fennel and it's so tall like yours. The smell of it is great isn't it? I read your post about the heat! I'm the same I can't work in it, so just gave in and sat and enjoyed my garden until it was cooler in the late afternoon/evening, and then worked on the allotment and gardened as and when I got a spurt of energy during the day.
Welcome to my blog about our garden. We live in a small town, half way between London and the south coast. Our garden is about 120 feet long and includes a herb bed and vegetable plot, a fish pond of koi carp, 10 flowerbeds in various stages of weedyness, and the remains of an old orchard. Please note that I tend to speak frankly, and take frank photographs.
An enthusiastically quirky Englishwoman. Better at buying books than reading them, at talking than listening, and a real specialist in self-criticism. A keen gardener and improving OU student. Likes solitude, making friends, music played on real instruments at high volume, and old buildings. Proud wife of a keyboard-player; infatuated companion to Pippa, an Irish Setter, and Velvet, a cat with better interpersonal skills than her own. Has a bit of a thing about rivers, deer and oak trees.
I'm over the moon with blogging on here, and the contact with people all around the world. I enjoy it immensely, and I hope you do too.

Looks great! It is FINALLY raining here today after 40 days with no rain! It is supposed to rain all week. We need it to rain all week to catch up!

It sure is getting there Emily - looks lovely.
The whole garden looks fab, Emily. It's been lovely watching it develop this summer.
