cherries are so expensive at the moment but with such a small season carnt help but buy them, nice to have them fresh from the garden. I got some last week and hid them in the fridge but Fallon our daughter found them and scoffed the lot, got a new hiding place this week. Vicki
Bother. We're all thinking the same thing. Christmas.
How about rain drops too?
I've just been trying (and failing) to leave a comment on 'Cetera' re. your forest walk with Pippa. The photos there make me feel nostalgic even though I've never been there. Funny how some places and pictures can have an impact like that.
That's interesting, I've just been here too to see if there's anything new. When I saw Bob's comment, I thought I'd come back and let you know as well.
Matron - the birds just don't seem to see them. They're on a very unpromising north facing wall with just a drive beside them, so maybe there's nowhere for the birds to perch and see them from. We intended to hang a net from a point above the tree on the wall but so far it's never been necessary.
It has to be said the tree is tiny and that photo shows a fair proportion of this year's crop! I had them in a cherry and applie pie and it was woooooooonderful :D

How on earth do you grow cherries like that without the birds getting them? Do you have a huge walk-in fruit cage?
ReplyDeleteLoads of comments - thank you all so much.
